Adie Strum goes to Cozumel to find her friend who is the number one suspect in two murders. While there, she thinks she can enjoy the warm weather until she is attacked and shot at. She knows that she is more than likely in over her head but she is not going to wait around and be killed. Determined, she begins her own investigation.
While in Cozumel , Adie runs into one man whom she wasn’t expecting. Wolf Du Lac had broken her heart once before but now he is one of the only people who she can trust, or at least she hopes she can trust. While searching for an elusive murderer, Adie has more than her life to fear for. Now she could also lose her heart once more if she isn’t careful.
As Adie is drawn deeper into her investigation with her friend and Wolf, all clues point to multi-millionaire Diego Alvarez. As she attempts to find the answers she needs, Adie knows in her heart that Diego isn’t the murderer. Even as she questions his reasons for trying to seduce her, she continues to look for the killer who can be anyone, even someone close to her. All the while her attraction to Diego and her growing feelings for Wolf cause more problems than she really needs. While her list of possible suspects grows smaller, Adie wonders if there is more than meets the eye.
A CORPSE FOR COZUMEL wasn’t exactly what I had expected but it was quite enjoyable. I had no idea who the murderer was until the end of the story and in my opinion that is a good suspense. Ms. Amor surprised me with her expanse of detail of the locations and the plot, creating a vivid world for all who read her work.
