Dante is the son of the great rogue warrior Nolan and twin to the quiet and reserved warrior Quentin. His father and twin kidnap Queen Mona Lisa in an attempt to have her save his life from the lunar craving madness that is consuming him. Madness is not the only problem he faces; he has been fighting a curse that never allows him to truly die. Does Queen Mona Lisa have what it takes to cure Dante from either curse?
Mona Lisa is queen to a group of Mončre, a race of individuals who left their planet more than four million years ago. They are strong, fast, incredibly beautiful and children of the moon, sort-of a cross between a vampire and a were. She is also mated to Halcyon, a Demon Prince. Not only in she sharing her bed with two other men, but she is also grieving for the one man she loved above all others. Queen Mona Lisa has more than a full plate of drama in her life.
When Mona Lisa receives a call from one of her people, she rushes to save him, but her rescue attempt is foiled when she is kidnapped and thrown into the lap of the man with whom she shared a past life; the man she cursed to never truly die, the man who took all those she loved away from her, and who ultimately killed her in a past life. It is the same man with whom she feels the need to conceive a child, a man to whom she is drawn despite her fears. Could this be both their chances at a new life?
MONA LISA CRAVING is the third book in the Mončre series. In this book, Mona Lisa is still grieving for the loss of Gryphon, who as demon-dead, is gone from her life even though he not completely gone. She is becoming Damanôen, meaning living dead. She has several men in love with her, a love that she can not yet return. Most importantly, she craves a baby. She knows she should not have one because of what she is becoming, but it is difficult to resist the biological urge. When she is kidnapped to cure Dante, they feel an instantaneous connection with each other. He knows it stems from their past lives, but it takes Mona Lisa a while to learn the truth. The only way to heal him is with her pleasure, but could pleasure lead to more? Can they overcome the past or will history repeat itself?
This was the first book of this series that I have read and let me say I am now completely hooked! In the beginning I was confused about everyone’s characters and relationship, but the book self-explained everything. Sunny is one of my new favorite authors and I have the other books already ordered. MONA LISA CRAVING grabbed my attention from the first page and didn’t let go until the end. Even now, I can not stop thinking about it, wondering what happened after the epilogue. This book was very hot and sexy, but the sex scenes did not pull away from the story line, as many other stories do. Rather they added to the sexual tension that made the story so intriguing. I found myself weeping with Dante’s character and felt Mona Lisa’s aching emptiness. It is this kind of connection that makes a book truly wonderful!
Sunny is a family practice physician who decided that writing erotic fantasy would be a lot more fun than being a doctor. She has three other books out and two anthologies. To find out more about her and her books please visit www.sunnyauthor.com/ <http://www.sunnyauthor.com/>.
