Welcome to the resort town of Seashell Point, home of best friends Jade, Megan and Miles, three friends who couldn’t be more different. Jade’s the daughter of a hippie-type yoga instructor who’s getting the house to herself this summer-well if you don’t include the return of her older sister Turquoise (nickname Turkey) to keep an eye on things.
Megan’s making new friends with the daughter of one the high profile tourists whose house she cleans and Miles is still trying to recover from his surfing accident a year ago. Plus, Jade and Miles are keeping a bit of a secret from Megan, one that could mess up the three’s best friends status if she ever found out.

Told by all three characters in alternating chapters, I found MEET ME AT THE BOARDWALK an enjoyable read, especially since we get the all too rare boy’s point of view.

One of my favorite scenes in the book takes place at Jade’s, when she throws her first official party and Megan brings along a high profile tourist whose contribution to the party is two bowls of spiked punch. Soon all the girls are a little tipsy, including Turkey. What follows is a very entertaining scene.

A perfect book to tuck into your beach bag, Ms. Haft crafts an enjoyable summertime themed read with MEET ME AT THE BOARDWALK. Check out a sneak peek of the book at <http://www.thisispoint.com/books/meetmeattheboardwalk.asp>
